We'll take a look at how this type of go-dan verb works, using しぬ (die), the only verb that ends in ぬ, as an example.
TE Form
Take off the ぬ and replace with んで
  • しぬ → しんで
Verb Stem
Take off the ぬ and replace with に
  • しぬ → しに
Alternatively, if you already know the -masu form, just drop the -masu and what you have left is the verb stem.

Plain Form
Non-past, positive (aka dictionary form):
  • しぬ - dies / will die
Non-past, negative:
  • しなない - doesn't die / won't die
Past, positive:
  • しんだ - died
Past, negative:
  • しななかった - didn't die
Present continuous, non-past, positive  (TE form ＋ いる):
  • しんで いる - is/am/are dying
Present continuous, non-past, negative  (TE form ＋ いない):
