Supporting or Challenging the Ideas and Opinions of Others


In order to support or challenge the ideas and opinions of others, you first need to outline what those ideas are.
Referring to someone else has said or believes.

Revise the use of ~そう(だ/です)to say, "Apparently . . . "
  e.g.
  このアニメは、とても おもしろい そうです。(Useful when it's not important where the info came from.)

  Apparently, this anime is really entertaining. 

Consider using a quote - と言(い)いました/と書(か)きました
  e.g.
  友だちが、このアニメは とても おもしろい と言いました。(If the opinion was spoken.)
  My friend said that this anime is really entertaining. 
  友だちが、このアニメは とても おもしろい と書きました。(If the opinion was written.)
   My friend wrote that this anime is really interesting.

Use "source" によると to state where the information came from.
  e.g.
  テレビの ニュースに よると、このアニメは とても おもしろい です。
  According to the news on TV, this anime is really entertaining.
  SNSに よると、このアニメは とても おもしろい です。
  
According to social media, this anime is really entertaining.
Agreeing or disagreeing with the ideas or opinions of others
Once you've stated what somebody else's idea is, you can then state whether or not you agree (giving supporting reasons). ​
さんせい します (to be in agreement) - Expressing Agreement
私は、その いけん に さんせい します。なぜか というと 。。。​
I agree with that opinion. The reason is because . . . (and this is where you explain why you agree)
私は、トムさん の いけん に さんせい します。なぜか というと 。。。​
I agree with Tom's opinion. The reason is because . . . 
Giving Reasons
In addition to using the connecting words you already know, such as (だ)から、or(な)ので, consider using なぜかというと
  1. なぜか (Nazeka): This part means "why" or "for what reason." It's used when you want to emphasise  that there's a reason or explanation to follow.
  2. というと (To iu to): This part is used to introduce or explain a reason, cause, or explanation for why you said you agree or disagree.
So, なぜかというと can be roughly translated as "the reason is" or "because." It's a super handy phrase to have in your toolkit.
*You would normally write 
なぜかというと without any spaces.
さんせい しません (to disagree) - Expressing Lack of Agreement
私は、その いけん に さんせい しません。なぜか というと 。。。​
I don't agree with that opinion. The reason is because . . .
