Speaking Hypothetically, Using 
なら

なら is an alternative to ～たら, which we learnt in Year 12. 

• ～なら means "if it is ～"
• Use ～なら after a noun.
  

EXAMPLES

あしたなら、行けます。

• If it's tomorrow, I can go.

その次の日なら、ちょっとだめですよ。

• If it's the day after that, I'm afraid it's no good.

本当の友だちなら、分かってくれるでしょう。

• If they're a real friend, they'll understand, won't they?

まあ、そうなら、いいけど... (This one's just for conversation.)

• Well, if that were the case it would be good (but...)
